This play was a part of the Northern Stage Educational Programming for the 2022 season. As a return to normalcy amidst the pandemic, the big summer musical intensive has returned to Northern Stage! Admittedly, this was my first -ever- musical and an absolute labor of love. Working with Director, Eric Love, we were able to create a design so cohesive and profound, that these photos really don’t do it justice. Our band existed within the set, and so I worked to emphasize their musical elements as much as possible while maintaining the storytelling throughout the production. For me, this musical was a mixture of what I have learned from my own concert programming experience, combined with my love for theatrical expressionism. This was my return to theater following a year of working in Television/Film.
